Alta Alella Cau d'en Genís 2020

CAU d'en Genis is an organically produced white wine made from a selection of the best Pansa Blanca (Xarel-lo) grapes from Alta Alella.
They extract the characteristics of the variety through fermentation and ageing on fine lees in a clay-based cement egg. With this combination, they seek the purest expression of the fruit, strengthen the character of the terroir and increase the aromatic richness and volume in the mouth. The ovoid shape allows the lees to circulate freely, resulting in a natural stirring of the lees.

Tasting notes

Appearance. Amber colour with golden highlights (orange colour that has turned amber with ageing).

Nose. Consistent and powerful, characteristic of fermentation with skin - notes of fennel and citrus (mandarin peel).

Palate. Voluminous and tasty entry. Saline notes, well-marked acidity and long aftertaste (with tannic structure), balanced and very fresh.
