Dolç de Mataró is an organic sweet red wine made from the Mataró variety (Monastrell) by the Pujol-Busquets family.
Dolç de Mataró, the grapes are harvested when they begin to overripen but before raisining begins. After destemming and berry by berry selection, the grapes are put into stainless steel vats. The maceration will take place for 6 months, during which time they are pumped over first daily and then weekly. After a light pressing, the wine is aged for a short period of 2 months in French oak barrels and finally bottled.
Appearance- Intense cherry colour with violet reflections.
Nose- Aromas of candied fruits, plums, dried figs and blackberries with subtle notes of Italian cherry tomato, orange peel and Japanese green tea.
Palate- Unctuous, very tasty, recalling the aromas of candied black fruit with an original balance between tannic sensations, acidity and sweetness.
