Long John comes From the McDonald's clan distillery, whose beginnings date back TO the 15th century. The nickname ' Long John ' is the name given by his grandfather John McDonald, the creator of the brand.

The result of this family's history is the Long John Pure Malt, a whisky produced from the traditional distillate that has been inherited from generation to generation, making part of the process the choice of the best malted peat.
