Oban 10 Year Old Special Release 2022 is a smooth but punchy single malt, the result of years of work at the Oban distillery.

Legend has it that a vivid glow of light grew in the inky black sky above Oban, driven by a celestial being. A lively, energetic creature reached for the stars, pierced the heavens and bathed the sky in an explosion of violet radiance, shedding its ethereal light over the Oban distillery. Intense vitality lit up the grounds with tones of plum and blackberry, infusing Oban with an otherworldly sweetness rarely seen.

Oban 10 Year Old Special Release Tasting Notes

Double maturation in ex-Sherry & Amontillado casks provides a soft nose with sea salt and sea air. The creamy texture introduces a rich flavour with sweet hints of wine-poached spiced plum, balanced by salt and vibrant spice, before finishing as chilli. A rich, sticky sweetness shimmers through light smoke and salt, in an Oban of unearthly character.
