Puerto Salinas is a Red Wine produced by Bodegas Sierra Salinas, made with Monastrell, Cabernet Sauvignon, Alicante Bouschet and Petit Verdot. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
TASTING: Deep cherry red color, bright. Intense aromas of ripe black fruits with a very subtle balsamic background. In the mouth it is fresh, fruity, with mineral notes and a slightly spicy touch. Good balance and structure.
VARIETIES: Monastrell, Cabernet Sauvignon, Alicante Bouschet and Petit Verdot.
VINEYARD AGE: Monastrell 23 years old, Cabernet Sauvignon 18 years old, Alicante Bouschet 28 years old and Petit Verdot 13 years old.
SOIL: Stony limestone, poor in organic matter.
ALTITUDE: 680 m.
HARVEST: From September to October.
