Rodriguez Sanzo Bajo Velo is a white wine made from Verdejo grapes from the Rueda appellation.

Javier Rodriguez surprises again with a white wine from Rueda atypical in a category. Rodriguez Sanzo Bajo Velo is made from an 80-year-old Verdejo grape that is fermented and aged in sherry butts for 10 months.

The particularity is that these butts are not washed since they finish their biological aging of sherry wines, so they retain the veil that will provide unique characteristics to the still wine that will rest for almost a year.

The aromas of white flowers and stone fruit typical of a Verdejo are complemented by a slight salinity and the iodized nuances of the Andalusian veil. The result is a unique, very original wine, halfway between a Verdejo and a fortified wine.
