The Pacto rum vessel comes from a mixture of up to ten base rums, made with sugarcane molasses, distilled and aged in its own distillery. The aging process takes place in two stages, the first in white oak barrels and the last three months in Sauternes casks. The result is a perfect balance between cane and grape, a rum with artisanal character, pleasant and sweet.
Its name honors the pact that restored peace in Europe in the year 1815, where the return of trade through ships or merchant ships to the transatlantic route to reach Cuba is framed. During that trip the crew drank wine from the barrels of Sauternes and when they arrived they filled them with rum, which aged on the journey home taking all the nuances of the wine Sauternes.
Rum Tasting note ship pact
Rum Pact vessel has an amber mahogany hue and a shimmering shimmer, on the nose reminiscent of toasted fruit and soft flowers. The first tasting brings a sweetness that resembles honey with caramel and vanilla, evolving to a mixture of cinnamon, citrus and spices. Its end is long lasting and reminds of the dried fruit.
