Tarsus Verdejo 2021

The white wine Tarsus Verdejo is a white wine that belongs to the D.O. Rueda and is made from 100% Verdejo grapes.

A wine of great fruity expression and elegant herbal character. The ageing on lees makes it a wine with volume, long and persistent, but fresh and smooth at the same time.

Part of its blend comes from grapes harvested by hand from vineyards over 35 years old, with a yield of no more than 6500 kg/ha. The vineyards are bush vines, with gravelly soils, considered the best in the DO.

Cold maceration to extract the maximum potential from the skins. After fermentation, the wine is aged on its fine lees for four to five months with a daily batonnage, which adds complexity, texture and creaminess in the mouth.

Tasting notes of Tarsus

Bright and attractive straw yellow colour with greenish reflections. Fresh nose of medium intensity, with hints of white fruit, aromatic herbs and hints of aniseed, citrus and tropical fruit. In the mouth it is fresh, tasty and ample, refreshing acidity, unctuous and very balanced. The finish is reminiscent of citrus, herbs and ripe fruit with a pleasant bitterness characteristic of the variety.
