Tokaj Oremus Aszu 3 Puttonyos 50cl 2016

Tokaj Oremus Aszu 3 puttonyos is a sweet wine from Hungary. Aszú wines combine tradition, innovation and excellence, and become sublime wines with their roots in an unrepeatable land. Aszú wine can only be made in years of excellent harvests, when nature provides favourable climatic conditions for the development, in the best conditions, of the noble rot.

The 3 puttonyos in the title refers to the number of 25 kgs of aszú grapes (the grapes raisined by botrytis), which are mixed in the vat with 136 litres of conventional white wine, in which a slow fermentation takes place.

Tasting notes for Tokaj Oremus Aszu 3 Puttonyos

Tokaj Oremus Aszu 3 Puttonyos has a bright golden colour with reflections, with a dense and sinuous tear.

On the nose clear honeyed notes, dried apricots but also reminiscent of citrus fruits, mainly mandarin, peach and pear. Slight hints of fine pastries and cinnamon.

On the palate, the first thing that strikes the attention, unexpectedly, is a marked acidity that makes, together with the sweetness of the wine, a very, very nice set, enters powerful in the mouth, with intensity and breadth and there remains for a long time, very persistent and intense, revives by retronasal a fleshy memory of quince jelly.

Aszú 3 Puttonyos is an elegant and fresh wine, with an acidity that makes it a vibrant and velvety wine.
