Description

Bendito Destino Los Prados is a masterpiece of precision viticulture in Ribera del Duero, born from the vision of sommeliers Terry Kandylis and Guillermo Cruz. Crafted exclusively with the Albillo Mayor variety from a single 0.3-hectare plot with centenarian vines planted in 1910 at an altitude of 920 meters. This cult white wine stands out for its fermentation and aging of 16 months in very lightly toasted François Frères barrels. An exceptional white wine for aging that challenges the region's limits with its vibrant acidity, deep limestone mineral character, and unprecedented aromatic complexity. Ideal for collectors and lovers of the world's great white wines.

Tasting Note Los Prados

Bright straw-yellow color with greenish reflections.

On the nose, it displays an amazing complexity with notes of stone fruit (apricot), orange peel, dried fruits, fennel, and a marked mineral character of limestone and gunpowder.

On the palate, it is broad, unctuous, and structured, balanced by an electric acidity and a saline, persistent, and highly elegant finish.

Value Points

• Historic vineyard: Single 0.3 ha plot with Albillo Mayor vines planted in 1910 on pure limestone soils.

• Artisanal crafting: Fermentation and aging for 16 months in 228-liter François Frères barrels.

• Cult project: Created by renowned sommeliers Terry Kandylis and Guillermo Cruz.

• Extreme altitude: Vineyard located at 920 meters in Canalejas de Peñafiel, providing unique freshness and tension.

Service Protocol

Serve at a temperature between 10°C and 12°C. It is recommended to decant gently for 30 minutes before serving to allow all its nuances to open up. It pairs perfectly with baked fatty fish, large-sized seafood, brothy rice dishes, roasted white meats, and cured sheep's cheeses.
