Description

Laurent Tribut Chablis is a white wine that personifies the purity, tension, and minerality of the prestigious Chablis appellation of origin, in northern Burgundy. Made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, this wine comes from vineyards located in the communes of Courgis and Poinchy, with small contributions from plots classified as Premier Cru such as Beauroy and Forêts. The Domaine Laurent Tribut winery was founded in 1987 by Laurent Tribut.

The region's soil, characterized by the famous Kimmeridgian (a mixture of clay, limestone, and marine fossils of Exogyra virgula oysters), gives this wine its unmistakable saline and mineral character. The harvest is carried out manually to preserve the integrity of the fruit. In the winery, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, followed by an aging period of approximately six months in used French oak barrels, avoiding an excess of new wood so as not to mask the natural freshness of the Chardonnay.

The result is a vibrant Chablis, of great precision and with an extraordinary aging capacity in the bottle, evolving toward more complex and honeyed notes over the years.

Tasting Notes Laurent Tribut Chablis

Visual Phase: Pale straw yellow color with bright greenish reflections, clean and very luminous.

Olfactory Phase: Intense and very fresh nose, where aromas of lime zest, green apple, acacia flowers, and subtle notes of passion fruit stand out, all wrapped in a mineral background of chalk and sea breeze.

Gustatory Phase: On the palate, it is vibrant, direct, and with a sharp yet balanced acidity. It presents a silky mouthfeel with flavors of citrus and stone fruits, culminating in a long, saline, and markedly mineral finish.

Value Points

Connection with Dauvissat: Crafted under the direct influence and traditional style of the mythical Dauvissat family.

Kimmeridgian Terroir: Unique soil of clay and limestone with marine fossils that grants an unmatched saline minerality.

Precision Aging: Aged for 6 months in used French oak barrels to respect the purity of the fruit.

High Aging Capacity: A white of great tension that can evolve magnificently in the bottle for more than a decade.

Service Protocol

Serve at an optimal temperature of between 8°C and 10°C. It is recommended to decant slightly if consumed in its youth to allow its complex mineral aromas to open up.

Pairs perfectly with fresh oysters, fine grilled shellfish, baked white fish, scallop tartare, and cured goat cheeses.
