The 2022 Valtuille Villegas is a red wine from the Bierzo Designation of Origin, produced by Bodegas y Viñedos Castro Ventosa.

This wine comes from a single plot located in the high sandy area of the "Villegas" area, characterized by sandy soils uncommon in Valtuille.

Tasting Notes for Valtuille Villegas:

Appearance: Bright cherry red with violet reflections, clean and with good density in the glass.

Nose: Intense aromas of fresh red fruit (cherries, raspberries, and plums), with notes of undergrowth, spices (black pepper), and a smoky touch from its barrel aging.

Palm: Smooth and silky entry, with vibrant acidity that provides freshness. Flavors of ripe red fruits, wild herbs, and mineral notes stand out. Well-integrated tannins and a long, elegant finish, with a subtle spicy persistence.
