Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieux Télégramme 2023
D.O Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Monastrell Cinsault garnacha Syrah
Description
Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieux Télégramme is a red wine produced by Domaine du Vieux in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, in the Southern Rhône, with grapes 80% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 6% Monastrell (mourvèdre), 4% Cinsault.
This wine is the result of a careful process from the vineyard to the bottle. The grapes are harvested by hand with a double selection on the vine and a third selection in the winery, ensuring maximum quality. After destemming, a traditional fermentation is carried out for 25-30 days in temperature-controlled vats. Subsequently, it undergoes pneumatic pressing and systematic malolactic fermentation. Aging is carried out in 30-60 hl French oak vats for 15-16 months. The wine is bottled without filtration or fining, and is released to the market at the age of 18 months.
