Description

Fontaine Gagnard Chassagne-Montrachet is a red wine made from Pinot Noir by Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard.

The wine remains on its lees for 14 months. A total of 18 months of ageing. The winery buys the wood, dries it and has the barrels made to guarantee the perfect drying and quality of the barrels.

In Burgundy, tradition is deeply rooted, and winemaking at Fontaine-Gagnard is no exception. All the wines are vinified with indigenous yeast. The whites are aged for one year and the reds for 18 months in barrels made by the domaine.

Fontaine-Gagnard is one of the finest traditional domaines in the Côte d'Or, a true Chassagne specialist, producing excellent wines that set the bar high with each vintage and reflect its wide range of great terroirs.

Tasting notes for Chassagne-Montrachet Village

A wine with roundness and friendliness on the palate. Fruit character that makes it very approachable when young.
