Description

Bendito Destino Albillo Blanco is one of the most exclusive jewels of Ribera del Duero, crafted by the prestigious sommelier Terry Kandylis. This single-plot white wine is born from centenarian, ungrafted vineyards located at an altitude of 950 meters in Peñaranda de Duero. With an extremely limited production, it stands out for its spontaneous fermentation in François Frères French oak barrels and an aging period of 6 months on fine lees. The result is an Albillo Mayor of extraordinary complexity, balancing a vibrant natural acidity with a creamy and deep texture. Ideal for collectors and lovers of great Spanish white wines for aging, this wine redefines the potential of the Albillo Mayor grape in a unique high-altitude terroir.

Tasting Note Bendito Destino Albillo

Bright straw-yellow color with greenish reflections.

On the nose, it displays complex aromas of stone fruit (apricot, loquat), notes of quince, ginger, subtle touches of bakery, and a very marked chalky mineral character.

On the palate, it is broad, unctuous, and enveloping, with a vibrant citric acidity that brings tension and a long, saline, and elegantly spiced finish.

Value Points

• Centenarian Vineyard: Grapes from four ungrafted plots over 100 years old.

• Extreme Altitude: Cultivated at 950 meters above sea level in Peñaranda de Duero, guaranteeing freshness and acidity.

• Precision Aging: 6 months on lees in 500-liter François Frères French oak barrels.

• Cult Production: Minimum intervention micro-vinification led by sommelier Terry Kandylis.

Service Protocol

Serve at a temperature between 10°C and 12°C in a Burgundy glass to encourage oxygenation. It is recommended to decant briefly before serving. It pairs perfectly with baked fatty fish, shell seafood, brothy rice dishes, roasted white meats, and cured sheep's cheeses.
