Description

Girardin Vosne-Romanée Rouge is one of the most sublime, elegant, and coveted expressions of the Côte de Nuits in the mythical region of Burgundy. Crafted under the prestigious hallmark of the Girardin family, this monovarietal Pinot Noir red wine perfectly embodies the finesse, complexity, and depth that have made Vosne-Romanée the most legendary and respected appellation in the world for lovers of great red wines.

The winery, internationally renowned for its meticulous respect for the terroir and its philosophy of minimal enological intervention, selects grapes from exceptional parcels with iron-rich clay-limestone soils and optimal sun exposures to capture the true essence of the Burgundian climate. The vineyard is managed following strict sustainable and biodynamic agricultural practices, ensuring the maximum purity and health of the fruit. During the winemaking process, the harvest is carried out entirely by hand, followed by a rigorous double selection on the sorting table to ensure that only the finest clusters enter the cellar. Fermentation is conducted with indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Subsequently, the wine undergoes an aging period of between 12 and 16 months in fine-grained French oak barrels, using a very moderate percentage of new wood to avoid masking the unique typicity of the terroir. This Vosne-Romanée represents the absolute pinnacle of Burgundian refinement, being an indispensable piece for private collectors and demanding palates seeking an unforgettable sensory experience with great aging potential.

Tasting Note Girardin Vosne-Romanée

Visual Phase: It presents a beautiful brilliant and translucent ruby red color, with subtle garnet reflections on the rim that denote its elegance and youth.

Olfactory Phase: On the nose it is complex and highly perfumed. Intense aromas of wild red fruits such as raspberries, cherries, and currants stand out, accompanied by floral notes of rose petals and violets. With aeration, subtle touches of sweet spices (clove, cinnamon), cocoa, damp earth, and an elegant mineral and toasted background from the noble wood emerge.

Gustatory Phase: In the mouth it is silky, ethereal, and of extraordinary finesse. The entry is fresh thanks to a vibrant and perfectly integrated acidity. The tannins are fine and velvety, enveloping the palate with delicacy. Flavors of ripe red fruit blend with spicy and mineral notes, guiding towards a long, persistent, and highly elegant finish.
