Pago de los Capellanes El Picón is a red wine from Ribera del Duero D.O.C. produced by Bodega Pago de los Capellanes.
Wine elaborated with 100% Tempranillo grapes as estate wine since 1998, only exceptional vintages.
In order to extract the maximum expression, it is fermented in French oak vats with strict temperature control. To start the fermentation, a foot of vat is made with selected yeasts from the plot itself.
Tasting note of Pago de los Capellanes El Picón
Appearance: Bigarreau cherry colour, showing a broad intensity that allows us to predict the long life that it promises.
Nose: The first balsamic aromas are detected, blackberries and undergrowth characteristic of the Ribera, with spicy touches (traditional in French oak) such as cinnamon, leather, tobacco, truffle and black liquorice.
Palate: The entry on the palate is complex, with sweet tannins that envelop the palate and cover it with an exquisite roundness.
