Godelia Godello 2025
D.O Bierzo
Godello Doña Blanca, Treixadura y Verdello
Description
Godelia Godello is a white wine produced in the Bierzo Designation of Origin. This white wine represents the ultimate expression of the Bercian terroir, masterfully combining the Godello grape (90%) with a touch of Doña Blanca (10%). Cultivated in high-altitude vineyards, between 500 and 700 meters above sea level, the 30 to 60-year-old vines sink their roots into soils rich in quartzites and slates, giving this wine an unmistakable minerality and a unique character. The manual harvest in 15 kg boxes guarantees the selection of the best bunches, which are subsequently subjected to a gentle pressing in an inert atmosphere. The secret of its silky texture and its volume on the palate lies in its 5 months of aging on fine lees using the 'bâtonnage' technique in stainless steel tanks. This process not only enhances its primary aromas of stone fruits, citrus, and white flowers, but also gives it an exceptional creaminess and good longevity in the bottle.
