Barolo Chinato Vecchie Formula Roagna is an aromatized wine of great Piedmontese tradition, made from Barolo by the historic Roagna winery, one of the most prestigious estates in Piedmont.

Its recipe follows an ancient formula that combines the character of Barolo with a careful maceration of herbs, spices, and barks, resulting in a unique wine, complex and full of history. This wine stands out for its balance between sweetness, bitterness, and freshness, making it a highly appreciated enological gem, perfect to enjoy on its own, with pastries, or as a digestif.

Tasting notes

To the eye, it shows a deep garnet red color with tile-like reflections.

On the nose, it opens with intense aromas of medicinal herbs, sweet spices, quinine bark, cinnamon, clove, and balsamic notes over a backdrop of ripe fruit.

On the palate, it is enveloping, elegant, and harmonious, with a perfect balance between sweetness and bitterness. Flavors of spices, aromatic herbs, and a long, warm, and persistent finish with hints of cocoa and candied fruit stand out.
