Description

Roagna Barbaresco Albesani represents the pinnacle of elegance and tradition in Piedmont.

Crafted by the historic Roagna family, this world-class red wine comes from the prestigious Albesani cru, located in the municipality of Neive. This exceptional vineyard is characterized by its calcareous clay soils with a notable presence of sand, which bestows the wine with unparalleled finesse and extraordinary aromatic complexity. This vintage stands out for its purity, balance, and a classic profile that will captivate collectors and Nebbiolo lovers alike.

In the cellar, Luca Roagna maintains a purist and artisanal approach: fermentation is carried out exclusively with indigenous yeasts in large wooden vats, followed by a traditional submerged-cap maceration that lasts between 60 and 70 days. This ancestral technique allows for a gentle and deep extraction of noble tannins. Subsequently, the wine ages patiently for about five years in large neutral oak barrels, ensuring perfect micro-oxygenation without masking the identity of the terroir.

Acclaimed by international critics, with 97 points from James Suckling and Kerin O'Keefe, this Barbaresco is an indispensable oenological gem for any luxury cellar. Its production is extremely limited, making it a highly coveted collector's item in the fine wine market.

Tasting Note for Roagna Barbaresco Albesani:

Nose: Complex and ethereal, with aromas of dried violets, macerated cherries, wild rose, camphor, and aromatic herbs.
