The IMPROMPTU white wine is simply the best Sauvignon Blanc in Spain for the 2013 harvest according to the Peñín guide. Impromptu de Bodegas Hispano Suizas de Requena can be tasted, from now on, also in Magnum bottle. It has been the harvest of 2013, which has just come to market, the chosen to debut in this market segment of those who ask for a quality plus a wine guard as is the IMPROMPTU.
The Magnum bottle, which with its liter and a half doubles the quantity of a conventional bottle, is the ideal continent to house a wine for much longer than usual. The evolution of the wine will be slower, gain roundness and longevity, something especially delicate in a white wine.
The IMPROMPTU is made with Sauvignon blanc exclusively, the white variety that has proved to be the most suitable for ageing dry wines with all its aromatic splendor.
In addition, when fermented in American oak barrels of 400 liters and macerated with its lees until bottling, the optimal time of consumption is prolonged, so that lodging in a Magnum gives a plus added.
As Pablo Ossorio, winemaker of our winery, explains, "The followers of our Impromptu have spent several years playing with drinking vintages two or three vintages older than the IMPROMPTU that is on the market, and we had moved their surprise and congratulations on how This wine evolves, how it's changing. That pushed us to bet on adapting to that consumer, still minority and without prejudice, who calls for a target of guard. "
Will be 558 Magnum in a limited series that will only be sold in the Spanish market. It is from our last harvest, the 2013, which produced wines of marked Atlantic character with good acidity and freshness, something that is not usual for these lands, hence make it a unique product.
