Salvajes de Gredos Marino Blanco 2024
D.O Madrid
Albillo Real
Description
Salvajes de Gredos Marino Blanco is crafted by winemakers Marc Isart and Miguel Santiago Carrillo under the D.O. Vinos de Madrid in Sierra de Gredos, seeking the ultimate expression of Albillo Real. Cultivated under biodynamic principles in vineyards over 75 years old at 800 meters altitude, its decomposed granite soils provide an unparalleled minerality.
Early manual harvesting guarantees a vibrant freshness, while its fermentation with indigenous yeasts and 9 months of aging in used French oak barrels grant it a silky texture and fascinating aromatic complexity. On the nose, it displays elegant notes of white flowers, stone fruit, and subtle herbaceous touches. On the palate, it is broad, structured, and with a perfectly balanced acidity that promises excellent aging potential. It is an ideal wine for lovers of minimal intervention wines. The vines, grown in the traditional goblet system, survive in an extreme climate thanks to manual dedication in every phase of the growing cycle. The result is a gastronomic, versatile, and deep white, capable of evolving wonderfully in the bottle.
