Description

The Veuve Clicquot Sun Holder is a limited-edition masterpiece born from the collaboration between the historic Champagne House Veuve Clicquot and the acclaimed British-Nigerian designer Yinka Ilori.

This exclusive piece is part of the 'Chasing the Sun' collection, which celebrates the optimism, joy, and the 'solaire art de vivre' characteristic of Veuve Clicquot. The Sun Holder is not just a vibrantly designed case, but a highly functional isothermal ice bucket inspired by the traditional 'calabash', an ancestral symbol of sharing and celebrating in community.

Manufactured with recycled materials using innovative 3D knitting technology, this luxury accessory is capable of maintaining the bottle at the perfect serving temperature for up to 90 minutes, combining sustainability, contemporary art, and high functionality. Inside, it houses the iconic bottle of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut, the undisputed emblem of the House founded in Reims in 1772.

This Non-Vintage champagne reflects the consistency and expertise of the winery. Its master blend is dominated by the Pinot Noir grape (50-55%), which provides the structure and strength characteristic of the Clicquot style. It is complemented by the freshness and elegance of Chardonnay (28-33%) and the fruitiness of Pinot Meunier (15-20%). To guarantee the continuity of the House's style year after year, the cellar master incorporates between 30% and 45% of reserve wines from one of the richest collections in the Champagne region. The wine is aged on its lees for a minimum of three years in the historic 'crayères' (subterranean chalk quarries) of Reims, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. The result is a champagne of exceptional aromatic complexity, incomparable silkiness, and vibrant freshness that pays tribute to the bold vision of Madame Clicquot.

Tasting Note

Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut presents with a bright golden color and fine, persistent bubbles. On the nose, it offers a complex harmony of white fruits, brioche, and hints of vanilla, honey, and dried fruits. On the palate, it is balanced, fresh, and creamy, with notes of apple, pear, toasted bread, and a long, elegant finish that reflects the unmistakable style of the House of Veuve Clicquot.

SERVING PROTOCOL

To fully enjoy the Veuve Clicquot Sun Holder experience, it is recommended to pre-chill the bottle in the refrigerator until it reaches 6-8°C. Place the bottle inside the Yinka Ilori isothermal Sun Holder just before heading outdoors; this will keep the champagne at the ideal serving temperature (8-10°C) for up to 90 minutes without the need for ice. Serve in tulip-style champagne glasses or fine crystal white wine glasses to allow the aromas to properly open and to appreciate the finesse of its bubbles.

It is the perfect accompaniment to gourmet appetizers, fresh seafood, vegetable wok, or even a gourmet burger with aged cheddar cheese.
