El Castro de Valtuille Tinto is an authentic expression of Bierzo, produced by Bodega Castro Ventosa with 100% Mencía grapes from vineyards located on slate and clay soils.

This wine captures the essence of the region with careful elaboration that highlights the freshness, fruit and minerality characteristic of the Mencía from Bierzo. With fermentation in stainless steel tanks and a brief passage through barrels, it achieves a balanced, vibrant and expressive profile.

Tasting Notes of El Castro de Valtuille Tinto:

Appearance: Bright cherry red color with violet reflections, indicative of its youth and freshness.

Nose: Intense and fragrant, with aromas of fresh red fruits (raspberry, cherry and currant), floral notes of violets and a subtle spicy touch. Light mineral and balsamic nuances that provide depth.

Mouth: Juicy and fresh entry, with soft and well-integrated tannins. Balanced mid palate, with good acidity and a long, fruity finish that leaves hints of berries and a light earthy touch.
