Description

SDM La Floridita 2021 is a vibrant and expressive red wine born in the Valdeorras region of Galicia, under the Sierra de los Medios (SDM) project.

Made primarily from the Mencía variety, grown at altitude on slate and granite soils, this wine represents the new generation of Galician reds: fresh, smooth, and with great personality.

Its name, "La Floridita," evokes the wine's floral and fruity freshness, while also paying homage to one of the most unique plots in the area. It is a clear expression of the Atlantic terroir, with a minimalist approach and minimal intervention in the winery.

Tasting notes for SDM La Floridita:

Bright ruby ​​color with violet reflections. Medium-bodied and clean, it displays youth and freshness from the first glance.

Very expressive and delicate nose. Fresh red fruits (wild strawberry, cherry), blue flowers (violet), and subtle herbal and spicy notes (bay, white pepper) stand out. A mineral background evokes the slate and granite soils characteristic of Valdeorras.

Light, juicy, and refreshing. Soft, well-integrated tannins. Marked yet balanced acidity adds tension and lengthens the finish. A very gastronomic profile, with fruity and earthy notes that make it ideal for sipping by the glass or pairing with food.
