Description

Discover the unmatched elegance of Savage White, a masterpiece crafted by renowned South African winemaker Duncan Savage.

This exceptional white blend, led primarily by Sauvignon Blanc and complemented with a touch of Semillon, represents the pinnacle of Western Cape viticulture. Sourced from meticulously selected, wind-swept maritime vineyards in Stellenbosch, Overberg, and Villiersdorp, Savage White captures the pure essence of its coastal terroir. The vines, rooted in ancient granite and sandstone soils, produce grapes of extraordinary concentration and vibrant natural acidity.

In the cellar, Duncan Savage employs a minimalist, low-intervention philosophy to let the vineyards express themselves. The winemaking process includes whole-cluster pressing and spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Aging takes place in a combination of old French oak foudres, 500-liter barrels, and concrete eggs for up to 12 months, followed by further resting in stainless steel. This meticulous oxidative management and prolonged contact with the lees impart remarkable textural depth, a creamy mouthfeel, and a distinctive saline minerality that has become the hallmark of Savage Wines.

Whether you are a seasoned collector or an enthusiast of premium South African wines, Savage White is an essential addition to your cellar, promising excellent aging potential and a truly memorable tasting experience.
