Aus Merla 2021

Aus Merla is an organic red wine made with the Mataró variety (Monastrell) by the Pujol-Busquets family.

They are committed to ecology in order to obtain quality natural wines without the use of sulphur. Named after birds from the Sierra de Marina Natural Park.

A return to the essence and winemaking of the past, with the tranquillity that only experience can bring. The purest expression of the Mataró variety: a red wine with its own ''earth-fruit'' personality.

For 30 years ''Alta Alella'' has been leading a green revolution in wine, even in its labels, most of which are dedicated to the autochthonous birds that populate the area.

Tasting notes

Appearance. Bigarreau cherry coloured wine.
Nose. Good aromatic intensity where the aromas of fruit (blackberry) and liquorice stand out with subtle notes of barrel ageing well integrated.

Palate. Its acidity makes it a fresh wine. Smooth tannins without peaks that make it pleasant and persistent on the palate.
