Faiveley Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaux St. Jacques 2014
D.O Burgundy
Pinot Noir
Description
Faiveley Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaux St. Jacques is an elegant red wine from Burgundy made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes. It comes from a 0.98-hectare plot planted between 1945 and 1993, located on deep clay-limestone soils that provide an authentic expression of the terroir. Its vinification is carried out using traditional fermentation with native yeasts, and it is aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, 40% to 50% of which are new. This meticulous process results in a seductive, vibrant, and energetic wine with great length on the palate.
