Description
Torbreck Woodcutter's Semillon is an Australian white wine from the Barossa Valley, a region where the Semillon grape has flourished for over 160 years.
Made from old, low-yielding vineyards and using a traditional pink-skinned "Madeira" clone, this wine reflects the influence of the Mediterranean climate and traditional winemaking techniques.
Aged in stainless steel tanks and seasoned French oak barrels, it offers a fresh, food-friendly expression reminiscent of the white wines of central and southern France.
Tasting notes Torbreck Woodcutter's Semillon
This Semillon shows a pale green hue and reveals intense citrus aromas of Amalfi lemon, kaffir lime, and grapefruit zest, complemented by floral notes of lemon myrtle and lime blossom.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied with vibrant, marked acidity that brings freshness and persistence. The structure is firmer than previous vintages, with a clean and refreshing finish. Over time, it develops elegant pastry-like nuances such as brioche and lemon curd.
