Bendito Destino Clarete 2024
D.O RIBERA DEL DUERO
Pirulés tempranillo Monastrell Albillo Mayor garnacha Bobal
Description
Bendito Destino Clarete is a winemaking gem of extremely limited production, crafted by the prestigious sommelier Terry Kandylis in Canalejas de Peñafiel (Ribera del Duero), at an altitude of 900 meters.
This traditional-style clarete is born from centenarian vineyards where red (Tempranillo, Garnacha, Bobal) and white (Albillo Mayor, Alarije) varieties are harvested and co-fermented together. Following a foot-treading and pressing in a basket press, the wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation and is aged for 6 months on its fine lees in used 300-liter French oak barrels.
The result is a rosé wine with a Burgundian profile, complex, fresh, and deeply mineral, which redefines the concept of an aging clarete.
Tasting Note of Bendito Destino Clarete:
Pale pink color with onion-skin reflections.
The nose displays aromas of wild strawberry, sour cherry, citrus peel, white flowers, and subtle spicy notes.
The palate is vibrant, with an electric acidity, a silky texture provided by the lees, and a long, markedly mineral finish.
