Bendito Destino San Roque 2023
D.O RIBERA DEL DUERO
Albillo Mayor tempranillo Bobal garnacha
Description
Bendito Destino San Roque is an oenological jewel of extremely limited production born in the heart of the Ribera del Duero. Created by the prestigious sommelier Terry Kandylis and Guillermo Cruz, this single-plot red wine comes from a centenarian vineyard planted in 1890 in Peñafiel, at an altitude of 760 meters.
It is a unique field blend dominated by Tempranillo (80%), co-fermented with Garnacha, Bobal, and the white Albillo Mayor. With a respectful aging in used barrels, it stands out for its freshness, mineral tension, and a Burgundian elegance that breaks with the traditional canons of the region. A must-have cult wine for collectors and lovers of haute sommelierie.
Tasting Note San Roque
Bright ruby red color of medium-low depth.
On the nose, it deploys perfumed aromas of sour cherry, raspberry, floral notes of violet, and subtle touches of iron and chalk.
In the mouth, it is fluid, vibrant, with an electric acidity, fine tannins, and a long, mineral finish.
