Description
Malpuesto is a red wine from the Rioja appellation produced by Bodega Orben.
It comes from a single vineyard that bears its name and whose age exceeds 80 years. Its plantation is in glass, in calcareous clay soil of an average size of 0.30 hectares and an average yield of 4,000 kg/ha. It is manually collected in 15 kg boxes and is manually selected in selection tables. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tank with temperature control and malolactic fermentation in casks.
Pairing: Roast lamb, grilled red meats, stews, roasts, small game, cured cheeses.
Malpuesto Tasting notes
It is cherry-colored with a garnet edge. Powerful Aroma, ripe fruit, red fruit, sweet spices with creamy oak. It is also earthy and mineral. On the palate it is tasty with well-integrated toast and ripe tannins.
