Chateau de Pibarnon Bandol Rose 2024
D.O Coteaux d'Aix en Provence
Monastrell Cinsault
Description
The Château de Pibarnon Bandol Rosé represents the pinnacle of elegance and complexity in Provence rosé wines.
Crafted in the prestigious Bandol denomination, this wine is the result of an exceptional terroir where the vines grow on amphitheater-shaped terraces, known as 'restanques', at an altitude of 300 meters above the Mediterranean Sea. The soil composition, rich in limestone and blue marls from the Triassic period, bestows upon this rosé an unmistakable minerality and a surprising aging capacity, setting it far apart from traditional, ephemeral rosés.
This vintage stands out due to a climatology that allowed for a slow and perfect ripening of the grapes, resulting in a masterful balance between freshness and structure. The blend is dominated by the Mourvèdre (Monastrell) grape, which provides depth, spicy notes, and a vinous texture, masterfully complemented by Cinsault, responsible for the aromatic delicacy and notes of fresh red fruits.
In the cellar, vinification is carried out using direct pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation to preserve the purity of the aromas, without malolactic fermentation to maintain its vibrant acidity. This is not a simple poolside rosé; it is a luxury gastronomic wine, designed to accompany haute cuisine. Its aromatic profile unfolds layers of pomegranate, pink grapefruit, blood orange, and subtle hints of licorice and exotic spices. Ideal for collectors and wine lovers seeking the ultimate expression of the Bandol terroir in a glass.
