Description

Remelluri Colección Jaime Rodríguez 2005, a true oenological gem that pays a well-deserved tribute to the founder of the mythical Granja Nuestra Señora de Remelluri. This red wine from the prestigious DOCa Rioja represents the maximum expression of the Labastida terroir, being produced solely and exclusively in exceptional vintages such as 2005, officially rated as Excellent by the regulatory council. Created under the meticulous 'grape by grape' selection philosophy and inspired by the classic model of the Bordeaux Medoc châteaux, this masterful blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Graciano varieties comes from very old vineyards. These historical vines are planted on terraces of poor clay-limestone soils at an altitude of over 600 meters, which guarantees low yields and extraordinary aromatic concentration. The careful aging of 20 months in premium French oak barrels and open wooden foudres has granted it great complexity, allowing for a slow and harmonious evolution in the bottle. Its extreme scarcity in the current market and its impeccable aging trajectory ensure a sublime and exciting tasting experience.
