Salvajes de Gredos Marino Tinto 2023
D.O Madrid
garnacha
Description
Discover the pure essence of the Sierra de Gredos with Salvajes de Gredos Marino Tinto, an oenological gem crafted by the acclaimed Marc Isart and Miguel Santiago Carrillo. This red wine from the D.O. Vinos de Madrid represents the ultimate expression of Garnacha grapes grown at high altitudes. Sourced from old vineyards between 60 and 85 years old located in Cadalso de los Vidrios and San Martín de Valdeiglesias, at over 800 meters above sea level, this wine captures the unique minerality of the region's granitic and sandy soils.
The vintage is characterized by vibrant freshness and an unmistakable aromatic profile. In the winery, a philosophy of minimal intervention is key: spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks, followed by a gentle 10-day maceration without stems. Subsequently, the wine matures for 8 months in used 500-liter French oak barrels, adding complexity without masking the purity of the fruit.
