Description

Tomas Postigo 3er año is a red wine from the Ribera del Duero D.O. made from a careful selection of vineyards located between 750 and 1000 meters above sea level.

Its blend combines predominantly Tinto Fino with small proportions of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Malbec. The grapes are harvested manually and, after fermentation, aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. This process seeks to express the identity of the terroir with a balance between ripe fruit, structure, and freshness, offering a wine with character and depth.

Visually, it has an intense garnet red color with vivid reflections. The nose reveals complex aromas of ripe red and black fruits such as plums, cherries, and currants, accompanied by floral and spicy notes and hints of toasted oak that add nuances of vanilla and cocoa. On the palate, it is a full-bodied and elegant wine, with ripe and smooth tannins that envelop the palate, good acidity that brings freshness, and a persistent finish in which the fruity notes reappear along with herbaceous touches and subtle spices. Ideal for accompanying red meats, traditional stews, and aged cheeses.
