Alonso Del Yerro 2019
D.O RIBERA DEL DUERO
tempranillo
Description
Alonso del Yerro is the flagship of the prestigious family winery Viñedos Alonso del Yerro, a red wine that personifies the elegance, finesse, and complexity of the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin.
Made entirely from grapes of the Tempranillo (Tinto Fino) variety, this wine comes from a rigorous selection of plots located in Finca Santa Marta, in Roa (Burgos), situated at an altitude above 800 meters above sea level. The vineyards, planted in 1989, benefit from an extraordinary diversity of limestone soils, which vary from red clays to sand with gravel, bringing a unique mineral richness to the wine's profile.
This vintage was marked by an extreme continental climate, with a dry winter and a heatwave at the end of flowering that naturally reduced yields, ensuring exceptional grape concentration and quality. The harvest was carried out manually and meticulously between late September and early October. In the winery, vinification is carried out with absolute respect for the fruit, performing precise plot-by-plot work.
The wine is aged for approximately 12 months in French oak barrels, which gives it an impeccable structure and subtle spicy notes without masking the purity of the fruit. It is an exceptional age-worthy wine, ideal to accompany haute gastronomie dishes.

Gustatory phase: On the palate, it is balanced, broad, and with a silky texture. The tannins are ripe and elegant, offering a firm yet polished structure. A notable limestone freshness stands out, providing vivacity and a long, persistent, and harmonious finish, with fruity and mineral memories.
