Description

O Gran Meín Blanco represents the culmination of a historic project in the Avia Valley, under the technical direction of the prestigious Alma Carraovejas group.

This wine is not simply a Galician white; it is a liquid chronicle of the most authentic Ribeiro. Made from a mosaic of small plots located on the slopes of San Clodio and Gomariz, this blend of native varieties—predominantly Treixadura accompanied by Godello, Loureira, Torrontés, Albariño and Lado—reflects the geological complexity of its granitic soils (the characteristic “sabrego”).

The precision viticulture applied at Viña Meín seeks to preserve Atlantic freshness without sacrificing an unctuous and deep structure. On the nose, it displays a sophisticated aromatic palette that ranges from ripe stone fruit and subtle citrus to herbaceous notes and a salty mineral background.

On the palate, it has an elegant attack, with a vibrant acidity that underpins the whole and a persistent finish that invites reflection. It is a wine designed to evolve nobly in the bottle, positioning itself as an indispensable benchmark for collectors and lovers of the luxury Wine & Spirits sector who seek the maximum expression of the Galician terroir.

Tasting notes for O Gran Mein White:

Appearance: Straw yellow with greenish reflections, clean and bright.

Nose: Highly complex; notes of Reineta apple, white flowers, fennel and a marked granite minerality.

Palate: Balanced, with an enveloping texture, citrus freshness and a long aftertaste with salty notes.

How to drink it?

Serve between 10°C and 12°C in a white Burgundy glass to encourage oxygenation. Ideal pairing with rock fish, estuary seafood, rice dishes or soft cheeses.

Key features

It comes from the historic Meín estate, mentioned as early as the 12th century as one of the best vineyards in Ribeiro. The current vintage stands out for its masterful management of the lees, adding volume without masking the purity of the fruit. The Alma Carraovejas seal guarantees exceptional quality standards and selective distribution in the high-end Horeca and Retail channels.
