Description

Dom Pérignon Vintage 2017 represents a historic milestone in the legendary trajectory of the Maison, establishing itself as one of the most singular and challenging vintages ever created under the direction of Chef de Cave Vincent Chaperon. Born from a year marked by climatic extremes—severe winter drought, devastating spring frosts, and a scorching summer—this champagne is the ultimate triumph of viticultural resilience and technical precision.

In a radical break with tradition, the 2017 blend is dominated by 61% Chardonnay and 39% Pinot Noir, an unusual proportion reminiscent of the legendary vintages of 1970 and 2005. This predominance of Chardonnay gives the wine a fascinating duality: a vibrant mineral tension intertwined with creamy, enveloping opulence. Acclaimed by international critics and compared to the legendary “mini-2002” by Antonio Galloni, Dom Pérignon 2017 stands out for its very low dosage of just 5 grams per liter, technically placing it in the Extra Brut category.

The scarcity of this vintage (the smallest production in the recent history of Dom Pérignon) makes it an irresistible object of desire for collectors and luxury investors.
