Viña Zorzal Sea of Dreams Tinto 2023
D.O Navarra
garnacha
Description
Viña Zorzal Sea of Dreams Tinto is a wine jewel born from the exclusive collaboration between the prestigious winery from Navarra Viña Zorzal and the British importer Ben Henshaw (Indigo Wines).
This monovarietal of Garnacha comes from selected vineyards in the Corral de los Altos site, in Fitero (Navarra), planted in 1978 on clay-limestone soils with abundant boulders. The altitude and the constant influence of the cierzo wind bestow upon this wine an exceptional freshness and tension, characteristics of the minimal intervention viticulture championed by the Sanz family.
In the cellar, the grapes ferment with indigenous yeasts in concrete tanks, with 30% whole bunches, to subsequently undergo an aging of 9 months in used 500-liter French oak barrels. Viña Zorzal Sea of Dreams Tinto is the ultimate expression of Atlantic Garnacha from Navarra, an honest wine, with soul and an overwhelming personality that redefines the potential of the region's old vineyards. Ideal for lovers of fresh, fluid red wines with a marked terroir character.
